Pebble Series

This series is inspired by Japanese rock gardens, or zen gardens, as well as the origins of how darumas came to life. Just as a Buddhist monk tends their garden, one must commit to tending their goals, reflecting and recalibrating what is true to their essence. Traditionally, darumas are a reminder of Bodhidharma, a Buddhist monk who sacrificed his limbs in order achieve enlightenment through nine long years of meditation. Like Bodhidharma, one must persevere and sacrifice in faces of adversity in order to attain their goals, and to always get up after a fall — much like weathered pebbles enduring to remain solid through crashing waves and rough rivers.
